Carrwood Shutters Commended for Best Independent Retailer
The Northern Design Awards bring together designers, retailers and property developers in a glittering celebration of Northern design and style. Born of a desire to bring a focussed celebration of exceptional design and talented individuals to the North, the awards have proved a prestigious and hotly anticipated addition to the calendar.
This years judges are as always the style and design elite including Sir Terrance Conran, Wayne Hemmingway and the delightful Dairmuid Gavin amongst many others.
Carrwood Shutters decided to enter the 2011 awards under the category of ‘Best Independent Retailer’ and although we didn’t make it to the final we are proud to say that we were commended by the judges who felt our entry was very strong.
As our business develops and grows we’re sure that we’ll make it to the Northern Design hall of fame sometime soon so watch this space!

This month we’ve been popping up everywhere. We had a great write up in the Living North Magazine which is full of articles about what’s on in the North and advice about home interiors and fashion! Find the Magazine in most large newsagents and supermarkets.

Local Heroes
The Carrwood team all hale from and live in Yorkshire and work with wonderful people all around the region. We decided that we’d like to make a special mention of those great folk every quarter on ourblog. Our local heroes come in all shapes and sizes from great country pubs to butchers and farm shops producing exceptional local produce.
